Yes, Brandon is in. He made a 2 fried egg sandwich on toasted raisin bread with butter and cinnamon. He said it was great. Then after that we were off to check the cow's. Master Chef/Rancher.
We had two born last night and early morning. Brandon is putting a tag in this ones ear. Mommy wasn't too happy about the whole deal. She let out a load Mo and half the heard came to see what was wrong. It is a bull calf. I could of showed you a different picture, calf between his legs and a nice butt crack, but I'm trying to keep this blog PG. I think you get the picture. You have to put the calf between your legs to hold it still, so you can use both hands. Unless you have a friend who can help you. But Grandma wasn't getting out of the pumpkin. Not the way that Mom cow was looking at us.
This one didn't get an ear tag. Mom is not to friendly and very protected. As you can see I took the picture threw the glass.
This one was born about a week ago.

Thank you for posting the pictures! There is just nothing like a new born animal to make you think everything is right in the world. Thank goodness mothers are still protective of their young! Wouldn't it be awful if in nature the moms were not protective?
Great pictures! I miss seeing the cows :)
all baby animals are so cute....one of things I love when we go to Lake Farm Park for the quilt show is visiting the barn with all the babies...
