Long time no blog....

I have been busy. This was Chris graduation in Milwaukee from MSOE on May 28, 2011. Came home for two weeks and will go to work in Milwaukee. The first picture is Chris ready to go up and second picture is Chris crossing the stage.

On May 27, we had to put Sugar out. She was getting bad. We don't know for sure what it was, heart or lungs. It was so hard for me to let her go. She has loved me for 7 years. She would of been 12 years old on July 5. I was very lucky to have her as my dog.

Then on June 4th Greg bring 4 Turkey eggs that the tracktor ran over and no Mom to be found. We went to Caleb's graduation party in St. Louis and got home late that night. I weent to get the bag of eggs out of the car and they had hatched. There were 4 wild turkeys running around the car. We lost one but we put the three in a box and started to feed them.

This is the same 3 on June 15. They are growing. There wings are getting real big. We are going to take them to a man who can raise wild animals. He has raised eagles, deers and etc. I just want them to go back into the wild.

What's for diner?

Not this fish. Adam caught a 6.5 lb. Bass in our pond. He can out catch anyone. He told me what he does before he starts fishing but I better keep it between us.

Last week he caught a 5 lb. Bass. They both were put back in the pond. They get to look forward to another day on the end of Adam's line.

Sugar...

Sugar will be 12 years old on July 3. She doesn't feel real good. We don't know what is wrong with her. She isn't in any pain but she doesn't want to eat, (I stand there till she does) She was having trouble breathing but that has gotten better, but she can't walk a straight line. She goes from side to side. The Vet said my next move would be to take her to a Vet that has a big xray machine.

She is in her happy place right now. She loves to sit by the door in my Studio and watch outside. She is my pal and loves me so much. I'm not ready for what might come.

Finished quilts

This quilt is a paper piecing class that my Perryville Guild will have in July. The teacher is Lisa from St. Louis.

This was one of the Jo Morton classes I taught 6 years ago and finished quilting in April this year.

At our Quilt show we have sell chances for pot holders. These two strip ones are ones that I made.

Quilt Show 5/7/2011

Memory Makers Quilt Club, in Perryville MO. (which I belong to) had there Quilt Show May 7, 2011. This is Anna's Starry Night Quilt that I pieced at the lake and a friend quilted it.

This striped table runner was pieced by me and quilted by me.

This was a Jo Morton class 6 years ago that i taught at the Quilt Shop in Cape and I just finished quilting it in April. The next 3 are from that class too. We meet once a month and made a wall hanging. There was a total of 6.

The two small ones on the rack are the Jo Morton club quilts that I taught.

The bottom wall hanging is one that I pieced at the Lake and had it quilted. That one is for Barb.

This was a class that our Guild had last July called Dazzling Diamonds. I finished it in Aug. and had it quilted.

Finsihed Quilt Tops from Retreat...

Barb wants this one. It is 50" X 50".
I did the applique blocks awhile back so all I had to do was add the borders.
This is Anna's Starry Night quilt kit I had. Turned out real nice. This quilt is 79" X 93". I have the backing, and binding ready to go to the quilter.

Then we had time to make those 15 min. table runners. It took us longer to shop for fabric then make them.
We had a great time at Quilt Retreat. It was cold, damp, and dark but with such great friends I didn't even notice. The sun came out on Fri. This picture is just a few of the gifts that my friends made or gave to me. There was a lot of bags too. Which we always need bags.

The Sun is out...

When the sun is out I get lots done. I got this Lil' Twister ruler in the mail yesterday so I had to make this Twisting Pinwheels. The finished size is 18.5 X 21.5". I don't know if I will put a border on it or not. All you need is 30- 5" squares and a 3" border to start with. I guess I should of made it out of spring colors but I had this Autumn charm pack and I wanted to use it. It was so much fun I think I will make another one.
