Finsihed Quilt Tops from Retreat...

Barb wants this one. It is 50" X 50".
I did the applique blocks awhile back so all I had to do was add the borders.
This is Anna's Starry Night quilt kit I had. Turned out real nice. This quilt is 79" X 93". I have the backing, and binding ready to go to the quilter.

Then we had time to make those 15 min. table runners. It took us longer to shop for fabric then make them.
We had a great time at Quilt Retreat. It was cold, damp, and dark but with such great friends I didn't even notice. The sun came out on Fri. This picture is just a few of the gifts that my friends made or gave to me. There was a lot of bags too. Which we always need bags.

The Sun is out...

When the sun is out I get lots done. I got this Lil' Twister ruler in the mail yesterday so I had to make this Twisting Pinwheels. The finished size is 18.5 X 21.5". I don't know if I will put a border on it or not. All you need is 30- 5" squares and a 3" border to start with. I guess I should of made it out of spring colors but I had this Autumn charm pack and I wanted to use it. It was so much fun I think I will make another one.

Quilt Retreat...

It won't be long and the River Heritage Quilt Guild Retreat in March at the Kentucky Dam Village will be here. I'm working on getting several quilts cut out so I have something to sew on. My first quilt is in the tray picture and is ready to go.

This is a picture of the finished quilt. This was a Blackbird Fabric quilt kit.
I finished the applique center for this project last night and today I will cut out the borders that go around it and have another quilt for the Retreat.
This was a Jo Morton Quilt class from way back when. I picked out the fabric from my collection.

What I did today.....

My DD said I should put a picture on my blog of what I did today. So this is it. I just wanted to cut out some fabric to take to the Quilt Guild Quilt Retreat that is in March, but I couldn't stop sewing on this one once I got going. I have the borders left to put on which will be the big flower print. This is Amy Butler Midwest Modern fabric. This is a great pattern for big print fabric.

Oh, by the way, I have more fabric to cut out for the Retreat. If I can keep from sewing on it then I will have something to sew on at the retreat. The sun was out and it was a great day to sew.

Wonderful Weekend.....

Last weekend My sister Susan and I met in St. Louis and stayed at the Drury Inn in Arnold. We had a great time. We went to the Show Fri. night and saw The Tourist, we liked it. Then we stoped at Koyles because they were open till midnight. Susan lives by Branson but to St. Louis it is still 4 1/2 hours. On Saturday, Barb, Susan and I went to a Craft Fair in Ill. The sweet young man in the picture is Deegan. He is 4 years old. He loves to talk, loves his Grandma (Susan) and swim. We met Deegan and his family at Blue Owl for lunch. Paul and Caleb joined us.
This is my sister Susan, and her son Roger, Deegan's father. You can tell by the smile can't you. Yes that is my sister with red hair. My brother and other sister have red hair too. I don't know were they got me from.
This is Holly, Deegan's Mom and Roger's wife. She is so pretty. They are expecting another child? After lunch we went back to the motel and Caleb and Deegan went swimming. They had the pool to themselves for about an hour and then came the Birthday party kids.
After they left we started a scrapbook project that Barb got for all of us. (Yes, we had our free drinks and hot dog and chili.) We finished it up on Sunday morning before we went to the show again to see Burlesque. Great movie. We had gotten some snow Sat. night so after the movie we all went home. It was a great week-end. I think we will have to do that again soon.
